Desperate to return to power, BSP chief Mayawati, who had earlier stressed that her supporters did not TV, has finally decided to compete with her arch rivals through social sites like Facebook, Twitter, You-Tube etc.
Interestingly, for the first time even Non-Resident Indians (NRI) are uploading videos on You-Tube to promote Mayawati’s claim on power and to project her as the `toughest administrator’ who could deliver a terror-free atmosphere to public, industrialists and businessmen.
These NRIs first mentioned about Dr BR Ambedkar and the Constitution charted out by him. They later mentioned that the country will not run through `Manuwad’ or `Vampanth’ but with the rule of the law which only the BSP can ensure in Uttar Pradesh.
Sources confirmed that the party will launch several posters, videos and slogans through social media sites on Mayawati’s birthday on Sunday(January 15). Slogans like `behenji ko aane do’ (let Mayawati Come) and other catchy ones are lined up for appealing to voters to ensure Mayawati’s return to power.
The well-designed campaign not only appeals for restoring Behenji’s government for good governance but also attack the SP regime mainly for lawlessness, corruption, and underdevelopment and the Central government for anti-people decision of demonetisation.
A promotional song `BSP Sarkar Banao’ (Form BSP’s government) has been already recorded which has been crooned by Kailesh Kher. The number `Sapno ke pankh lagane ko, behenji ko aane do’, praises Mayawati for good governance and curses the SP regime for jungleraj, lawlessness, raj and cheating by inaugurating incomplete projects.
Kailesh Kher said that he sang the song with Ma Saraswati’s blessings while song composer Manoj Muntajar claimed to have done the job free as he had good relations with senior BSP leader Satish Chandra Mishra.
Earlier, Kher had sung some promotional songs to highlight the achievements of Akhilesh Yadav’s government including the one made for the Agra-lucknow Expressway.
Besides campaigning through social media, Mayawati will address at least 50 big and small meetings across the state to garner support for the candidates so that the BSP could form a government for the fifth time.
Meanwhile, Mayawati has invited media persons for a press conference at 11:30 am on Sunday - her boirthday. Through this, she would also address workers and leaders as it will be covered `live’ by electronic channels.
The BSP workers have been directed to listen to Mayawati speech and follow it. Interestingly the BSP is known to celebrate Mayawati’s birthday in a grand way with cakes weighing as much as her age and huge garlands. The BSP has been celebrating the day as ‘Jankalyankari Diwas’ or Public Welfare Day and party leaders are asked to connect with the needy and the poor.
