Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, after holding meetings in Bundelkhand and Kanpur divisions along with the districts of western Uttar Pradesh, will now hold an election rally in favour of her party’s candidates in the state capital on Wednesday.
BSP chief Mayawati will address the election meeting at Kanshi Ram Cultural Sthal (Smriti Upvan), Ashiyana, in Lucknow on Wednesday. Party’s national general secretary and Rajya Sabha member Satish Chandra Mishra will also accompany her.
Mayawati will address a public meeting in support of the party’s candidates from all constituencies of Lucknow — Mohanlalganj, Malihabad, Lucknow Cantt, Sarojininagar, Bakshi-Ka-Talab, Lucknow East, Lucknow Central, Lucknow North and Lucknow West. All the candidates will also attend the meeting.
The focus of Mayawati, who has been holding election meetings continuously for the last seven days, is now in central UP and Purvanchal. She has also announced party’s candidates for all the seven phases of elections.
Attacking the BJP government on Tuesday, Mayawati tweeted that instead of getting any good news for people who have been suffering from severe poverty, unemployment, back-breaking inflation etc for a long time, the news of the biggest bank scam has created fear in the minds of small investors regarding the safety of their money.
Mayawati said that due to no arrest in the latest bank scam in the country, many types of doubts are being created in the minds of the people. She said that the Central government should come forward and clear all the doubts and fears from the minds of investors, particularly those who made small savings and depositing the same in banks.
