Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) had geared up to ensure a huge turnout in the state capital here on Tuesday when Party supremo Mayawati will address the leaders and workers at the Ambedkar memorial on the 61st death anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar.
Mayawati, will address a condolence meeting at the Ambedkar Memorial where thousands of the party workers will flock to pay their tribute to the Baba Saheb on Tuesday morning. The function will be held by the lucknow unit of the party. BSP, which is trying to capture the power in UP in the coming assembly polls will attack the Narendra Modi government over demonetisation move and against the Samajwadi Party government of UP over different issues during BSP’s supremo speech. The BSP chief held such rally on the death anniversary of party founder Kanshiram on October 9 too in the state capital at the Memorial of the BSP founder.
In Tuesday’s programme at lucknow, party’s supporters from lucknow division (comprising cities like lucknow, Hardoi, lakhimpur Kheri, Raebareli, Sitapur, and Unnao) and Barabanki will be present. Mayawati has also asked the cadres to organise party convention in all assembly constituencies and apprise supporters not only about the Bahujan movement but also the “anti-people” steps taken by the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre and SP government in the state.
Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party government in UP has announced a public holiday on Tuesday in view of the death anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar. Other political parties too will hold programme on the occasion to woo the dalit votes for the coming assembly elections in the state.
