Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati lambasted the ruling Samajwadi Party in UP, for inaugurating incomplete projects in the state just to get their names on the inauguration plaques.
“The inauguration of lucknow- Agra expressway was done in a hurry and the work was yet to be completed. As the SP leaders know that they would not return to power, they are now on a spree to inaugurate incomplete projects,” she said.
Mayawati blamed that the SP government made this new expressway just for the benefit of people of Kannauj and Saifai and thus ignoring other districts.
“This expressway was the original concept of the previous BSP regime which notified the Ganga Expressway on April 20, 2008 which passes through 14 districts. But the SP government changed the name of the BSP projects like it had done to change the name of Bhim Rao Ambedkar Park to Janeshwar Mishra Park in lucknow, to stake its claim on these projects,” she said in a press statement on Monday.
Mayawati said that the people of the state are reeling under law and order problem and other miseries, but the Akhilesh Yadav government is not at all concerned and was trying to create an image that they were doing so much for the state. “People have already made up their minds to vote out this SP regime and hence such drama would yield no result for them in the coming Assembly polls,” she said.
The reaction of Mayawati came after Mulayam Singh Yadav, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and other family members inaugurated the 302 km-long lucknow- Agra Greenfield expressway at Bangarmau (Unnao) on Monday morning.
