Mayawati slams BJP over demonetisation

Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) supremo Mayawati once again lashed out at the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) for ignoring the plight of the common people due to demonetisation of currency and said that the ruling party leaders have turned ‘insensitive and arrogant’ and were trying to cheat the public by claiming `India Shinning’.

She also claimed that the people do not want a government like that under Kalyan Singh rule, which failed to complete even full term and pushed the state to worst ever communal clashes.

“The BJP and its leaders had made demonetisation move in a haste without any preparation and now the poor people are feeling the brunt while the BJP leaders are just not at all interested,” she said. The BSP president said that everywhere anarchy was prevailing in the country due to demonetisation with people spending their days standing in the queue of the banks, ATMs and Post offices and failed to get any respite even after passing of more than 40 days of demonetisation.” However BJP was not concerned on the issue and it is their new fashion,” she remarked.

In a statement released by the BSP here on Saturday afternoon, Mayawati also criticised BJP president Amit Shah over his speech in Shahjahenpur where he attacked both SP and BSP along with Congress. Shah alleged that Mayawati was indulged in deep corruption and if any list in the world of corrupt leaders will be prepared, she will top the list. BSP supremo claimed that demonetisation is a biggest scam and done just to facilitate some of Prime Minister’s industrial friends and to make political gain out of it.

Attacking BJP further, Mayawati said that the Party advocate of bringing in back regime like that of Kalyan Singh if voted to power but the people will not get fool as they knew that how the BJP leader had pushed the state into worst ever communal violence after demolition of disputed structure in Ayodhya. She also appealed to the voters that Samajwadi Party government here in the State had not taken any decision to help the poors and the farmers to get some relief from demonetisation but instead working just to facilitate victory of BJP in the coming elections.
