Mayawati should come clean on Rs 104 crore deposited money: Maurya

BJP state president Keshav Prasad Maurya said that BSP Chief Mayawati should come clean about recovery of over Rs 104 crore in party’s bank accounts after announcement of demonetisation.

“Recovery of such a huge amount has exposed BSP. The onus is now on Mayawati to explain as how party collected so much of cash and who are real people behind these so-called donations,” Maurya said in a written statement here on Tuesday. He was reacting to the allegations of Mayawati where she called the Enforcement Directorate probe into banks accounts as an act of political vendetta. She said that BJP Government was using official machinery to hound her and her brother.

“The allegations leveled by BSP chief are false. Everything has come in white and black. The nation owes an explanation from her as how Rs 104 crore was deposited in the bank accounts of Bahujan Samaj Party after November 10. The transaction details show that there was no deposit from August to November and after declaration to cull high value notes over Rs 100 crore were deposited,” he asked. BJP state president said that Mayawati has always mis-led poor dalits on the name of Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar. She has used them as vote bank but earned riches in due period. “People will teach such leaders a lesson in the coming election,” he said.
