Deflating BJP’s hopes of riding high on Narendra Modi wave, Bahujan samaj party national president Mayawati said that Modi factor will not work in the state during next lok Sabha elections.
"The Modi factor will not work in UP at all because condition in the state differ from that of Gujarat. The Modi factor had not worked in previous elections and will not work in future too," Mayawati said while addressing reporters here on Thursday.
She also ruled out BSP joining Third Front. The results of next lok Sabha elections will spring surprises. Just wait and watch, was the advise of Mayawati.
When asked if Rahul Gandhi should be named as a Prime Ministerial candidate of the Congress party, Mayawati said that this question should be asked to the Congress." How could I answer about the Congress," she said.
