Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati held a meeting of senior party leaders and coordinators of all 403 Assembly segments and the candidates exhorting them to push their entire strength to ensure BSP’s return to power.

Besides, preparations for the Assembly polls along with instructions to follow Model Code of Conduct issued by he Election Commission were also discussed.

Mayawati asked BSP leaders to fan out in their constituencies and expose the tacit pact between the Samajwadi Party and Bharatiya Janta Party. The leaders were also told to make people aware of the ongoing family feud in the ruling SP as well as highlight poor law and order, caste-based discrimination and regionalism in development.

Addressing the congregation at the BSP office at 12 Mall Avenue, Mayawati said that her party was known as a disciplined party and hence everyu workershould behave in a discplined manner during elections.

On Model Code of Conduct, the BSP chief said that several new instructions have been added about which every worker and candidate should have brief knowledge so that they can follow them.

Slamming Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mayawai said that he took the immature and anti-poor decisin of demoneisation to divert public attention from his failure to keep up the promises made during lok Sabha poll.

Attacking the BJP, she said that BJP leaders were passing senseless and irresponsible comments to lure the crowd as hey were scared of the demonetisation effect on the voters.

On the ruling SP and the raging first family feud, the BSP chief said that the public now wants to get rid of its regime. “The SP has already created nuisance and anarchy by promoting mafia and land grabbers in UP. The SP brass know that they were not returning to power and hence wanted to collaborate with Congress. But by doing so, the SP is indirectly helping the BJP by polarising the voters on communal lines.”

She once again cautioned Muslim voters not to walk into the trap of SP as the BSP was their real well-wisher and could easily defeat communal forces like the BJP and the SP.
