BJP state president Keshav Prasad Maurya said that BSP chief Mayawati is frustrated because demonetization of high value currency notes has badly affected Mayawati and she knows that her party can not return to power.
“This is no secret that BSP tickets for assembly and general election carries a price tag. The party has collected several thousand crore by selling its tickets to candidates. With one stroke Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reduced all that ill-gotten money into trash,” Maurya said while reacting to BSP’s rally held in lucknow on Tuesday.
He said that she knows that BSP has lost election. She has lost confidence which is reflected from his statements against BJP and Prime Minister Modi.
“Mayawati always propagated caste based politics. She took poor dalits for a ride on the name of Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar. People are fed up with this and therefore are looking towards BJP. They want development. The next elections in Uttar Pradesh will be a requiem for caste based and family based politics,” Maurya said in a written statement issued here.
He said when BJP will come to power the corrupt and criminals will either be behind bars or will be thrown out of Uttar Pradesh.
In another statement BJP spokesman Hridaya Narain Dixit said that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is trying to lure people by promising smart phones or free houses. “This he is doing because he knows that during last four and half years he has not done any development work in the state. People will not vote for Samajwadi Party and therefore is trying to lure voters by offering them freebies,” he said.
“The Samajwadi Party has a malafide intention in offering these freebies. He is saying that these projects will be implemented only if SP comes to power. If Chief Minister was keen to help people he should have announced them with immediate effect. Why to wait for second term,” he said.
Dixit said people are intelligent enough to see through the malicious design of Samajwadi Party leaders. “People will teach SP a lesson in the next election,” he said.
