Maya terms budget as 'a total failure'

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has termed the Samajwadi Party’s government budget as ‘a total failure’ which did not address the real problems of the poor, farmers and common man and that the budgetary proposals were just on paper.

Reacting to the budget on Saturday, Mayawati said that most of the funds sought by the SP government ius set to be siphoned off with  the end result that the common man would get nothing.

“In teh ;last four years of its rule, the SP government has done nothing for the people except handing out fake promises which has reflected in the budget too,” she asserted.

The BSP president exhorted the people not to believe in the fake promises of the SP government and to teach the ruling party a lesson in the next Assembly polls.

Mayawati also questioned the use of the eulogy ‘Vikas Purush’ by different leaders of the Samajwadi Party. “On one hand, the CM prefers to be called ‘Vikas Purush’, on the other his uncle and minister Shivpal Singh Yadav claimed through his supporters that he was the actual Vikas Purush of the government. Shivpal’s supporters put up numeorus hoardings in the city on the occasion of his 61st birthday on Friday, and made the claim. The SP should clarify on the real Vikas Purush,” she pointed out.
