Maya slams BJP's Parivartan Yatra

Former Chief Minister Mayawati hit out at the Bharatiya Janta Party claiming that their `Partivartan Yatra’ was to divert people’s attention from the failures of National Democratic Alliance government at the Centre, the most recent being the demonetisation move.

“The Parivartan Yatra is a failed political move of the BJP, taken out to divert public attention from the Centre’s failure on all fronts. The BJP is trying to misguide the public about non-compliance of the promises made by it during the 2014 lok Sabha polls,”asserted the BSP chief.

In a statement released on Saturday, Mayawati alleged that demonetisation has becomes a huge problem for the BJP hence the PM was making one statement after the other to somehow justify his flawed action.

“First, the PM claimed it to be crackdown on black money holders, then swithced tracks and termed it Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) which later was described as a war against terror funding and the recent one is promotion of `cashless’ economy,” Mayawati explained.

``To ensure the Yatra’s success, all top BJP leaders and Union ministers camped in UP. Both PM Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah addressed several rallies. But the thin attendance is a pointer of the people’s anger towards the Union government and a sure defeat of the BJP in the coming Assembly polls,” claimed the BSP chief.

Expressing concern on confuion amongthe masses over the next move of the Union Government, Mayawati said,”The PM says something and does the opposite which has resulted in the Union government losing credibility among the people. The anti-people decisions of the BJP has hit the common man hard and the people will vote against the party in the coming Assembly polls,” Mayawati asserted.
