Maya directs party workers to brace up for 2017

Upbeat with the victory in the recent Panchayat polls, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati instructed party cadre and leaders to keep up the momentum and ensure that the party storm to power after the 2017 UP Assembly polls.

She asked  the cadre to be vigilant about the designs of rival parties especially the ‘communal agenda of BJP and the SP’ which she felt had polarised the voters during the last Parliamentary polls.

Addressing party coordinators / senior leaders from UP and Uttrakhand, Mayawati suspected that the Opposition parties would use all types of ‘dirty tactics’ to mislead people ahead of Assembly polls both in UP and the Uttarakhand.

The BSP chief directed the leaders to complete the remaining poll-related works before Assembly polls, an official communiqué of the party said in lucknow on Thursday.

She opined that if the BJP some how won the Bihar Assembly elections by misleading the people, then it would benefit the NDA but would cause heavy losses to the state. She hoped that the BSP would come up with satisfactory results in Bihar.

Referring to the just concluded elections for Kshetra and district panchayat members, Mayawati said that the BSP has achieved ‘good success’. She was confident that the party would do well in Zila Panchayat elections as well.  The panchayat elections are not contested on Party symbols and major parties chose not to officially announce the candidates they had endorsed.
