Hitting out at the Samajwadi Party over alleged annoyance of CM Akhilesh Yadav over the merger of QED with the SP, state BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the CM’s annoyance was a `political’ drama to divert people’s attention from the SP joining hands with the east UP don.
“Why is Akhilesh Yadav angry IJ Can anyone digest the fact that the merger took place keeping him in the dark IJ Akhilesh Yadav is also the state SP chief and if he was not consulted before finalising t he decision, then it proves that he has no control over the party,” Maurya told reporters in lucknow on Wednesday.
The BJP leader said that reported annoyance and subsequent sacking of senior minister Balram Singh Yadav was merely a drama.
“If the CM was really angry he should have thrown Shivpal Singh Yadav out of the ministry. He did not do it and instead made Secondary Education minister Balram Singh Yadav, the fall guy,” the state BJP chief said
“There are reports that the CM will induct Balram Singh’s son Dr Sangram Singh Yadav in the proposed reshuffle. This shows that a plan to barter the father’s seat with the son was pre-planned and the CM used the timing to divert people’s attention from the SP joining hands with a mafia don. It was a good ploy of the CM to win sympathy from the people but this veneer of deception has fallen through,” said Maurya.
The BJP chief said that the law and order in UP is really bad because of the ruling Sp patronizes the criminals. “This government has failed on all fronts. It had made huge promises before 2012 but has failed to fulfill even one. It came to power with a promise to control crime but has it been able to do so – it is anybody’s guess,” said he.
Maurya said that the SP leadership wants to project a clean image of Akhilesh Yadav and therefore advised him to act as an angry young man. "The CM and his party have been exposed and in the 2017 Assembly polls, the SP will be wiped out of UP," the state BJP chief declared.
