The Managing Director lMRC (lucknow Metro Rail Corporation) Kumar Keshav is a lucknowite. Born in Bareilly Kumar’s family shifted to lucknow in 1975-79 and has members of his family settled here. Sources revealed that the Managing Director was currently winding up his job in Australia to join here and it will be more than one week before he takes charge.
Kumar Keshav is Project Director Rail at a private company in Australia. He has been Director Project and Planning at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, Executive Director Civil at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and Chief Project Manager at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. He has studied at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and University of Roorkee. He has been in Brisbane Australia for the past two years.
Reliable sources said that Kumar Keshav is from lucknow. “He was born in Bareilly and thereafter studied at the Roorkee Engineering College from where he went to the IIT Kanpur. His family shifted to lucknow in 1975-79 and his family members still reside here” said sources. Sources also revealed that it would take another week before he was relieved from his company. “Things would be more clear after a week as to when he would take charge. Currently he is in the process of winding up his current job” revealed sources.
As Director Project and Planning Kumar at the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation ltd was employed from July 2009 – May 2012 Delhi. He has experience in handling multi-disciplinary Mass Rapid Transit project in urban situations, interfacing of Systems for overall completion of project
He was Director in-charge for planning, execution, testing and commissioning of various Broad Gauge and Standard Gauge Metro corridors of Delhi Metro and was involved in testing and commissioning of corridors for commercial operation including certification from independent Safety Regulator.
He was also the Prime Consultant to Metro projects in the city of Chennai, Kolkata and Kochi. In the Indian Railways he was working from June 1984 – February 2002
