To ensure a smooth ride to the visitors coming to Ayodhya to celebrate Deepotsav besides going for darshan of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram on occasion of Diwali, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday instructed officials to make the city pothole-free before the start of celebration.

On October 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will light the lamp of creation, prosperity and happiness with other guests on the eve of Diwali in Ayodhya.

In order to ensure that the visitors, tourists and devotees do not face any kind of problem, the chief minister reviewed the preparations and gave instructions to fill all the potholes in Ayodhya at earliest.

A government spokesman while confirming this claimed that soon after the chief minister’s direction, work was going on at a fast pace on all the roads and all main intersections and road dividers were being painted to welcome the visitors.

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's arrival in Ayodhya, the roads of Ayodhya are being made pothole-free by the Public Works Department. The painting work is going on under the supervision of officials and is nearing completion. Officials are also working day and night to make Deepotsava a grand event.

PWD Executive Engineer Anil Kumar Mishra said that work was in progress on all the roads following the instructions of the government to make Ayodhya pothole-free.
