In a few hours from now, the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla will be taking place at the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya Dham.

The Yogi Adityanath government has decorated Ayodhya Dham like a bride to make the ceremony grand and divine. As part of the preparations, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has readied ‘mahaprasad’ for the VIP guests, who will be attending the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.

The mahaprasad will be given to the guests after Pran Pratishtha. Apart from this, food prepared with desi ghee will also be served to the guests on the temple premises.

The mahaprasad has been prepared by Gujarat’s saffron army called Bharti Garvi Gujarat and Sant Seva Sansthan under the guidance of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Kamal Bhai Rawal, who was assigned the responsibilities of preparing mahaprasad and making arrangements for the stay and food of saints, said the mahaprasad had been prepared with more than 5,000 kg of ingredients by a team of about 200 people. He added that the mahaprasad has been prepared from pure desi ghee, gram flour, sugar and five dry fruits. He said no readymade ingredient from the market had been used to ensure purity of the mahaprasad.

He added that more than 20,000 packets of mahaprasad had been prepared, each packet containing two laddoos, water of Sarayu river, akshat, betel nut bag and kalava.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is providing food to more than 5,000 saints every day. It has made arrangements for their accommodation at Udasin Ashram Ranopali. A kit is also being given to the saints, which includes blanket, pillow and sheet. Apart from this, the Trust has made arrangements for serving ‘satvik’ vegetarian food along with legume and millet based dishes to the guests on the temple premises. Apart from this, thepla, almond barfi and matar kachori will also be served to the guests.
