Amid the restriction on holding panchayats in communal violence hit Muzaffarnagar, around 18 khaps and 35 community panchayat heads held a panchayat at Mohammadpur Rai Singh village and warned the state government of initiating biased action in Muzaffarnagar on Sunday.

The panchayat decided that the head of the khaps will give their arrest at the district collectorate on November 15, if the government did not stop its biased action against youths of a particular community. The panchayat resolved to maintain communal harmony in their area at any cost and to revive the brotherhood between two communities. In the panchayat, which was chaired by Choudhury Baba Harkishan Mallick of Gathwala Khap, the speakers openly criticised Samajwadi Party ruled government for conspiring to create differences. They said future of the innocent youths was at state due to fake cases lodged against them. The speakers said the youths were fleeing from the villages to save themselves from being implicated. Baba Harikishan gave a proposal that Hindu and Muslim panchayat leaders should sit together to resolve the issue.

Some people blamed that anti-social elements were working from relief camps but almost all them expressed their faith on the judiciary. The prominent among those who participated in Sunday's panchayat were Choudhury Naresh Tikait of Baliyan Khap, Choudhury Surendra Singh of Desh Khap Barot, Thakur Karan Singh of Choubisi village Suraj Mal of Batish Khap, Virendra Singh of latiyan Khap, Anil Singh of Mangalaura Khadara and Baljor Singh of Chaprauli.
