Keeping in view the pandemic situation, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to impart training to madrasa teachers to make them more adept at online mode of teaching.
The administrative officers of the state, educationists and veterans of IIMs and IITs will provide training to the madrasa teachers for online education of students in UP Board of Madarsa Education.
An online training programme was organised by the UP Madarsa Board on Wednesday. Member of language committee Danish Azad, registrar of UP Madarsa Board RP Singh, district minority officers (DMOs) and educationists of many districts took part in the programme.
Online education of students has started in madrasas during the COVID-19 period. UP Madarsa Board, in collaboration with the language committee, is conducting division-wise training sessions for teachers on conducting online teaching classes. In this, educationists and counselors associated with the UP Board of Secondary Education and many DMOs are giving subject training to madrasa teachers.
Since online teaching is a major challenge for teachers these days, during the session, the madrasa teachers were told how to teach children in a simpler way. Discussions are on with a few former and present IIT and IIM students to provide online education training to the madrasa teachers. Many such students have agreed to impart the training to the madrasa teacher of the state.
Former vice-chancellors and retired administrative officers are also ready to join this training programme.
The message of the state government is clear, that online education is the need of the hour and in such a situation, teachers should prepare themselves for it.
The provision of online applications is also there through which the teachers can directly connect with the students.
In fact, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during a recent meeting, had given instructions to start online education of madrasa students.
