With the aim of strengthening the tourism sector of Uttar Pradesh at the global level, the Yogi Adityanath government is gearing up to promote UP as a brand and a favourable tourist destination in the Tourism Expo to be organised from November 6 to 9 at the World Travel Market in London.
As per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi, a detailed action plan has been prepared for this. Under this, the Tourism department will set up a pavilion in an area of 52 square metres in the Tourism Expo in London. An agency will be appointed by the Tourism department for the establishment and efficient operation of this pavilion. An e-bidding process was started for the agency through e-tender portal on October 17 and interested agencies can apply till October 26, after which the selected agency will be given the responsibility of running the programme smoothly.
As per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi, the Tourism department is focusing most on promoting spiritual and historical heritage sites of UP in the Tourism Expo and the theme of the pavilion set up by Uttar Pradesh will be inspired by these parameters. Moreover, the UP Tourism department will display brochures and booklets related to all of the state’s heritage and famous tourist destinations at the expo.
In the pavilion, Uttar Pradesh’s geographical, spiritual and historical heritage will be presented, while highlighting the positive changes that have occurred in the state during the Yogi regime, particularly in terms of industry, economy, law and order, good governance, standard of living, infrastructure growth and ease of doing business.
The Tourism department has invited applications from agencies to participate in the e-tendering process for setting up of the pavilion in the Tourism Expo. For this e-tender, a tender fee of Rs 5, rupees and an 18 per cent goods and services tax (GST) have been specified. Additionally, an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs 2 lakh has been set. All the tendering procedures will be carried out as per the regulations of the Tourism department and the rulebook of the Uttar Pradesh government.
The agency awarded the work will be responsible for the design, fabrication, setup, installation and dismantling of the pavilion.
Moreover, the agency will have to fulfill various tasks related to the pavilion, including setting up a VVIP lounge, coffee vending machines, LED display screens, glass showcases, meeting tables, light beams, power sockets, LED lights, needle punch carpet, dustbins, chairs selection, and a seating area of 45 square metres.
