State president of the Bharatiya Janata Party Dr laxmi Kant Bajpai on Sunday urged the farmers of Fatehpur to prepare themselves for a big battle against the state government. He said that the ruling party of UP has betrayed them for pursing wrongful polices harming them in a big way. Addressing farmers at the ‘Kisan Panchyat’ held at Fatehpur, he condemned the District magistrates and district police chiefs all over the state for their arbitrary approach and said they are working in a colonial manner.
Ridiculing the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav for not fulfilling the promises made with the farmers and said Yadav has not taken initiative to set up commission to determine the agriculture prices nor chalk out the plan to establish industry to manufacture the products from potatoes base. The chief minister has altogether ignored the promise to wipe the loan given to the farmers, he added.
Attacking on the indifferent approach of the Yadav’s cabinet, he said that neither the chief minister nor his cabinet colleagues ever went to the farmers’ to know their well-being during the natural calamities, he added. lauding the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that the NDA government has chalked out compensatory policy which would help them to re-settle. Now the farmers will get compensation on two hectare instead of one, he added.
