``You have dutiful people, skilful chief minister and helpful prime minister. Yogi Adityanath is a bachelor and has no hassle of the family and full time devotion for the cause of UP is his fulltime engagement. It’s an era of reform perform and transform   and UP has to be made free of the vices of politics of caste and religion and there is need for the change in the mindset of the people’’, said the vice president.

"There is large number of people having licensed firearms in the state and it should be withdrawn. Why you need a gun," he questioned. Naidu while addressing the first UP Diwas functions here on Wednesday.

“The government should review the gun license policy in the state and also withdraw the licenses in the state," he suggested.  He said the government should go for ' reform, perform and transform' so that the state could achieve the desired development.

The Vice President said that the State Government has taken steps to encourage new entrepreneurs in the direction of self-employment in the state through the Government of India's monetary policy, MUDRA, Stand-up India, PMFGP, Chief Minister Yuva Swarojgar Yojana and Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana.

``Mahatma Gandhi too said about Ramrajya in the country and his words were not related to any religion. No one has seen lord Ram but he is worshiped by everyone as an ideal person so how can it be related to any religion," he said.  The VP went ahead in saying that several senior political leaders like Jagjivan Ram, Kanshi Ram, Sitaram Yechuri, Ramvilas Paswan and hundreds of others have their name on lord Ram which shows their faith on the God.
