Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and candidate Amethi, Kumar Vishwas will file his nomination after 14 kilometer ‘Pad-yatra’ (Foot March) on Tuesday, in the presence of former Transport Minister (Delhi), Saurabh Bhardawaj and other Delhi MlAs.
“We have named Foot March as ‘Vijay Vishwas Yatra’ which will start from Devi Patan Temple situated in Amethi where I will perform ‘Puja’. Then will walk through Baramasi, Tala, Tikariya, etc. to reach Gauriganj at 12 noon,” Vishwas told reporters in Amethi on Monday.
After gathering at AAP office in Gauriganj, Vishwas along with his supporter will reach Collectorate at 1 pm. “The idea of Foot March was mine and the friends who want to walk along can come and while others can reach directly to Gauriganj Collectorate,” he appealed.
Taking a dig at Congress Vice-President, Rahul Gandhi, he said he is fighting against the system where people of Amethi are not allowed to roam even near Court and Munshiganj Guest house. The elected representative who thinks that those people who elected him are threat to his life, do not have right to be their representative. AAP’s senior leaders including Arvind Kejriwal, Shazia Ilmi, Manish Sisodia and Rajmohan Gandhi will campaign for Vishwas till polls which will be held on May 7 in Amethi. “All the AAP MlAs will be campaigning here for me. Arvind Kejriwal will be here for three days from April 20 to April 22 and then for two days on May 1 and May 2. Manish Sisodia will camp here from April 27 to April 29. Shazia Ilmi will be here from April 16 to April 19,” said Vishwas. Vishwas alleged that the congress and BJP had made a deal that they will advantage to each other in Varanasi and Amethi that’s why she (Smiriti Irani) was sent here.
