Claiming innocence in the rape and murder case that shook the present regime, BJP MlA from Bangarmau (Unnao) Kuldeep Singh Sengar welcomed the state government’s decision to order a CBI probe into the case.
“I welcome the decision of government to order a CBI probe. I will come clean in central agency’s probe. I have done nothing wrong in my entire public life but now some people are trying to defame me,” he told reporters on Thursday.
Though admitting that he was a ‘ dabang’ but never in his life had he done anything wrong, the legislator said that there were some people who were trying to defame him but did not reveal their names.
“I have never misused the name of the party and all charges against me are false. The father of the rape victim was a criminal. The CBI probe will disclose the persons behind the conspiracy,” he said and boasted that he enjoyed the love of people which was reflected in his massive victory.
Talking about the BJP, Sengar said that he was a dedicated party worker and refused to be a partner in crime of his brother Atul, who was arrested earlier.
On the other hand, the victim’s uncle Suresh said that he was happy about the CBI probe. “Yes we are happy that finally an FIR has been registered against Sengar. Had this been done earlier, my brother would have been alive today. It has to be seen whether the MlA is arrested or not,” he said.
