The kidnapping of an 11-year-old boy in Rae Bareli on Wednesday took an ugly turn when the cops recovered his body on Thursday but also recovered a mutilated body lying nearby which they suspect to be of his 8-year-old cousin.
She too had disappeared on August 19 last and the police were looking for her.
SP Rae Bareli, Swapnil Mumgain claimed that they would go for DNA testing to confirm the girl’s identity and teams were formed to resolve the mystery behind both the deaths.
It may be mentioned that 11-year-old Deepak, a resident of Kudwal in Narpatganj area of Lalganj, was playing on Wednesday morning when a car stopped there and the occupants bundled the boy and tried to flee away. A local woman tried to rescue the boy by snatching him from the clutches of the accused but they kept pulling her for several meters before she gave up and the accused escaped with Deepak.
The local police were trying to work out the case when on Thursday, they recovered Deepak’s body in the bushes outside his village.
Near Deepak’s body, another mutilated body was recovered which seemed to be of 8-year-old Rub, cousin of Deepak, who went missing on August 19.
