Forty days after the Lakhimpur Kheri violence involving the son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra `Teni', the Uttar Pradesh government shunted out Lakhimpur Kheri’s Superintendent of Police Vijay Dhul on Friday.
The outgoing police officer was put on the waiting list and attached to the Director General of Police office in Lucknow.
Dhul has been replaced by 2014 batch IPS officer Sanjeev Suman who was earlier posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) in Lucknow police commissionerate.
Besides, Assistant Superintendent of Police in Moradabad, Amit Kumar Anand, was posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) in Lucknow police commissionerate.
On October 28, the state government had transferred District Magistrate of Lakhimpur Kheri, Arvind Kumar Chaurasia, after the violent incident at Tikuniya area of Lakhimpur on October 3 and had replaced him with Mahendra Bahadur Singh.
Meanwhile, there has been a major administrative reshuffle in the Jail department and Superintendent of Banda Jail has also been changed.
Don-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari is lodged in Banda District Jail.
As per an official communiqué, Rajiv Shukla has been posted as Jail Superintendent of Bareilly Jail, Vijay Vikram Singh has been posted as Superintendent of Banda Jail, Bhimsen Mukund has been given the charge of Fatehgarh Central Jail replacing Ramdhani, who has been asked to join as Superintendent of Etawah Jail.
Fatehgarh Jail was recently in the news for clashes between inmates and jail officials in which one of the inmates died of bullet injuries. The clash took place after inmates protested the death of a prisoner due to dengue which was ignored by jail officials.
Besides, Amit Chaudhary has been posted as Etah Jail Superintendent, Kamal Mangalani a Superintendent of Mainpuri Jail, Abhishek Chaudhary has been given the charge of Siddharthnagar Jail Superintendent, Lal Ratnakar has been posted as Superintendent of Mau Jail while Arun Kumar Singh has been entrusted with the charge of Superintendent of Sampurnanand Prison Training Institute in Lucknow.
