Khatri updates official UPCC site after1 year

State Congress president, Nirmal Khatri, finally wake up form it’s slumber and reacted promptly to the blunder which he made by claiming that only those, whose names appeared on the Uttar Pradesh Congress official website were Party office bearers and no one else.

Within minutes after learning through the media report that the official UPCC site was not updated reportedly for more than a year now and displayed old names, Khatri immediately got it corrected, on Tuesday morning. Now, with the upgraded website of the UPCC, one could find the names of sitting office bearers of both the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee as well as the names of district incharges, along with names of office bearers of All India Congress Committee, who were looking after the Party affairs here in UP.

It may be mentioned that `The Pioneer’ in it’s Tuesday morning edition had highlighted that how the name of Neeraj Bora, who quit Congress to join Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), is still on UPCC website showing him as city Congress president while Vijay Bhadhur was shown as charge of District Congress unit. Though both these leaders were no more on the above posts, but on Monday, State president, Nirmal Khatri, claimed that only those leaders were office bearers whose names were there on the official website which pointed that Neeraj and Vijay still enjoyed the same posts.

``The names of all those nominated as Party’s office bearers is there on our Party website and no one other is a officer bearer’, claimed Khatri while replying that why he kept names of some newly appointed office bearers as a closely guarded secret, on Monday evening.

However, contrary to it, it were Bodhlal Shukla and Gaurav Chaudhary, who were present  City and District Congress presidents and not only this, their appointment was also made by Khatri himself. Besides Neeraj and Vijay, there are many more old names which the UPCC website still showed them as city or district units chiefs when many of them were either removed or even not in the Party at present. It was also found that the site had no names in UPCC office-bearers list but it displayed that the list is presently `upgraded’.
