Congress president Nirmal Khatri ruled out any probability of having truck with other political parties during elections in the future.

``We are already paying the price of going in election in coalition with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in the State now for almost two decades so we will never repeat this in the future even if Congress had to further suffer for it”, claimed Khatri while out rightly ruling out any possibility of going together with other political parties in the future. ``Chance of only small seats adjustment like the one we made with Rastriya lok Dal and some other parties in other states is always open”, he added. Khatri made above claim while talking to media persons here on Wednesday afternoon.

Accusing Samajwadi Party government of patronising the criminals, Khatri said that the law and order in the state could never improve and incidents like Badaun or in Mohanlalganj would continue to repeat. ``How can a government which is already full of anti-social elements could improve law and order situation when it also started to patronise the criminals”, asserted Khatri while reacting on deteriorating law and order situation and demanding a probe by sleuths of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into Mohanlalganj incident.

Khatri also attacked government on frequent transfers. ``One more big reason for deteriorating law and order situation in the state in because of action against those government officials who tried to perform on merit”, he pointed while claiming that those who danced to tunes of their political masters were rewarded with plump postings and those who do their job were either shifted or suspended for the act. He said that the morale of the government officials is at bottom under the present Samajwadi Party government and people had lost of any improvement in the near future.

Reacting on Bharatiya Janta Party’s call of demonstration in favour of cane growers, Khatri said that the Party had his government in the Centre so instead of taking roads, they must pursue with the prime minister Narendra Modi and get grant sanctioned so that pending arrears of the farmers could be cleared and they not faced financial crunch to go with another crop. eHe also took on BJP on the call for ghearo on Kanth police station in Mathura on coming Saturday. ``BJP is upset as their plan to repeat communal violence like Muzaffarnagar failed so far so they were making every bid to push Western UP once again towards similar riots so that they could capitalise through polarization in the coming bi-elections”, Khatri said. He claimed that to thwart BJP’s move, his Party would also staged a peace march in Kanth on the same day.

Khatri also announced that names of district and city presidents of Congress would be finalised by them by the end of this month so that local units started functioning. He said that on August 1, he would also launch membership drive of the Party from lucknow (East Assembly Segment) and had planned to attend 18 of such camps across the state just in August.
