Minority Affairs minister Azam Khan in an apparent criticism of PM Narendra Modi said that the prime minister instead of ensuring the prosperity of industry and the people of the USA, should care for farmers committing suicide and bring some cheers to the faces of the plebian masses. He hoped that the Centre would extend the same facilities to Indian industries as offered to the MNCs of the USA.
“From now on, no establishment like East India Company would touch our shores nor there will be flight of capital from India. I believe that the PM will make a resolve that instead of bringing prosperity for US industry, he would take steps to end farmers’ suicides and bring some positive change in the lives of millions living in poverty,’’ said Khan in a statement issued in lucknow on Monday.
Taking a dig at the PM for rolling out the red carpet for MNCs of the USA, Khan said : “I hope that the PM would extend the same honour to Indian businessmen as he has done with the US counterparts. This would fulfill the Swadeshi dream and facilitate the import of technology for development of the domestic industry.”
Expressing concern over RJD leader lalu Yadav’s comment on the reservation for Muslims, Khan said : “Even after six decades of independence, the Muslims are force dto live in humiliation and are still awaiting reservation.”
The SP leader added that alongwith reservation for SC, ST and OBCs, he has always supported reservation for Muslims.
