UP urban development minister known for his controversial remarks has claimed that Taj Mahal, Rashtrapati Bhawan and Parliament House were the symbols of `slavery’ and should be demolished.
“I cannot stand the sight of Taj Mahal and totally against the monument. Though it is now one of the rare monuments and the world heritage, it was made when people did not have even money to purchase poison. Such big monument with white marble for Mumtaz and black Tajmahal was a criminal waste of public money,” he said in Rampur on Saturday.

The minister said that he will be the first person to lead if people were in favour of the demolition of the Taj Mahal.” “I favour the demolition of Taj Mahal as it was constructed to show the world about love of a ruler for his queen but it was grave injustice to the people” he said. Talking about the JNU controversy, the Azam Khan said that the students of JNU may not be revolutionary, they are better than the politicians who are betraying the people of the country.
