Minority Affairs Minister Azam Khan hit out at his arch rival in muslim politics Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari calling him political blackmailer. Azam Khan said the Imam of Jama Masjid Delhi and the RSS were the two sides of the same coin.
Azam Khan in a statement in Rampur on Sunday said that Bukhari has committed a cardinal sin by converting a Hindu girl to Islam and marrying her to his son. `` Bukhari has committed a sin by converting a girl to Islam and marrying her to the future Imam of the Jama masjid of Delhi’’.
Targeting the RSS, the senior SP leader said `` RSS is silent on this issue, for them it’s not a case of love jihad. Infect Bukhari is a political blackmailer and both Imam and the RSS were the two sides of the same coin’’.
Azam Khan reiterated his demand for the demand for the demolition of the Taj Mahal, Rashtrapati Bhawan and lok Sabha building. He maintained that these buildings were the symbols of colonial slavery and if the people supported him then he will lead the move to demolish these buildings.
Azam Khan and Bukhari are locked in a battle for over a decade for the position of dominance in muslim politics of UP. Bukhari in 2012 state assembly elections had announced open support for the Samajwadi party. After coming the power SP had paid back Imam by nominating his son in law as member of the UP legislative council, the upper house of the state legislature.
Bukhari on Saturday had accused the ruling Samajwadi party of failing to fulfill the promises it had made to the muslims during the last assembly polls. Bukhari had served an ultimatum of 3 months to the SP to either meet the demands of the muslims or face the consequences in 2017 state assembly elections. Bukhari had also launched a veiled attack on Azam Khan on Saturday accusing Azam Khan of benefiting himself under the cover of serving the cause of muslims.
