Delhi Chief Minister and president of Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal, will be attending a ‘Rojgar Guarantee Rally’ to be organised by AAP in Lucknow on November 28.
Kejriwal will address the participants and workers in the rally, which will launch the poll campaign of AAP for the UP assembly elections in 2022.
Giving this information, AAP Rajya Sabha member and UP incharge, Sanjay Singh, said in the rally, Kejriwal would give a guarantee of employment to the youths in UP.
He said UP youths were ending their lives due to unemployment which more often pushed them into depression. “The youths in UP are being cane-charged for demanding jobs from the BJP government,” he said.
Singh said there were reports of women Shiksha mitras tonsuring their heads as a mark of protest in UP. “The Delhi chief minister will assure employment to youths in UP in the Rojgar Guarantee Rally in Lucknow,” he said.
Speaking about the Kasganj incident, the AAP leader demanded Rs 1 crore as compensation to the family of deceased Altaf and a government job to one dependent member of the family. He also demanded a CBI probe into the incident.
The AAP Rajya Sabha member said the death of Altaf in police custody had put the law and order system in the dock itself.
AAP state president Sabhajeet Singh and co-incharge of AAP Braj Kumar Singh were also present in the press conference.
Singh said AAP’s announcement of 300 free units of electricity was the first guarantee which had hit success already. “The AAP has got full support from the public on the issue. People are themselves seeking guarantee forms from AAP workers,” he claimed. He said Kejriwal would tell the way to provide employment to youths during the Lucknow rally.
Singh also criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party government over law and order, inflation and custodial deaths in UP. He said the Yogi Adityanath government had opted for the 'shoot them policy' to create terror among the public.
