Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state president Sabhajeet Singh said that the Kejriwal Model of governance in New Delhi would be the party’s poll plank in the 2022 UP Assembly elections.
He said the growing popularity of AAP was indicated by the fact that a large number of doctors, engineers and social workers had joined the party in Uttar Pradesh.
On Monday, Dr Keshav Singh, Raj Chaudhary and Brijmohan Yadav from Agra and numerous leaders and workers led by Haider Ali of Ayodhya joined the AAP in the presence of party’s state chief Sabhajeet Singh and senior leaders Mahendra Singh and Vaibhav at the party office in Lucknow.
Addressing AAP leaders and workers after the joining of the new members at a function, Singh said, “Now the people in UP are discussing Delhi government’s work on free supply of electricity, good education/schools, free bus travel for women and medical facilities and they will pine for the same in UP. Even social workers and leaders of different political parties are joining the AAP as they find the Kejriwal Model of governance as the only solution to the problems faced by the public. Singh appealed to AAP workers and leaders to make more people aware of the good governance by the Kejriwal government in New Delhi.
“Make the Rojgar Guarantee Padyatra (employment guarantee footmarch) a success and make more and more youths to join the party so that AAP may win the next Assembly elections. The party will guarantee jobs if it is voted to power in the next state election,” he said. “We will take back all cases registered against youths for protesting for jobs and will fill all the pending vacancies. AAP leaders and workers should raise the issue of lawlessness and spurt in crime in Uttar Pradesh. The Delhi government has ensured the rule of law and instilled a sense of safety among the citizens of New Delhi,” the AAP leader said
