Jungle raj prevailed during SP regime : Mayawati

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati hits at Samajwadi Party (SP) slogan ‘Kaam bolta hai’, and said that not work but crime and jungle raj speaks of Samajwadi Party’s regime. Addressing public gathering in Basti and later in Gonda, Mayawati said that law and order situation in the state is very poor. She said that incidents of loot, murder, rape and land grabbing have increased. ``There is no development work taken up in the State” she alleged. Mayawati said that SP government just changed the names of development policies of the BSP government to take credit and political gains. She said that Chief Minister AKhilesh Yadav wants to take credit of undone projects by inaugurating them.

Terming SP-Congress alliance opportunistic, Mayawati, said both Parties came together for their interests and incapability. She warned minority community people that if they vote for SP then their vote will be vested and BJP will form the government. BSP president said that if minority community will be uncertain and their votes is divided than it will benefit Saffron brigade directly and BJP will form the government and imply Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s RSS ideology.

Taking a dig on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mayawati said Modi’s government has been proven failure at every aspect. She said PM Modi has forgotten all promises he had made to the public. Commenting on SP family feud, Mayawati alleged that SP patron Mulayam Singh Yadav has insulted his brother Shivpal Singh Yadav for his affection of his son Akhilesh Yadav. Urging to vote in favour of BSP, Mayawati said that only BSP can provide unbiased good governance. Earlier Mayawati dubbed Modi as “Mr Negative Dalit Man”, and charged him and BJP with trying to give “casteist and communal tinge” to the poll campaign in the State. “In the past couple of days, BJP and its top leaders, including the PM, have been issuing wrong statements after assessing that the party has fared badly in the first three phases of polling,” she asserted. Referring to Modi’s “graveyard-cremation ground” and “Diwali-Eid” comments, Mayawati said such a view is aimed at giving casteist and communal colour to polls.

At a Fatehpur rally on Sunday, the PM has said each village needs to have a graveyard and a cremation ground and the people should get power on Diwali as well as Eid without discrimination. “He (Modi) seems to be giving polls casteist and communal hue...before saying this, he should see whether every village in BJP-ruled states like Haryana and MP have the same facility,” Mayawati said.

She said the Prime Minister should get cremation ground in each village in BJP-ruled states first and then talk about it in Uttar Pradesh. “Such kind of wrong statements prove that they have stooped to politics of lies,” she said, adding BJP has lowered the level of politics which is not good for democracy. “PM says BJP does not indulge in caste and communal politics, but this is wrong,” Mayawati said, also citing the Rohith Vemula case.
