US Ambassador to India Kenneth Jester said that investment by American companies in Uttar Pradesh will not only give an impetus to the Indian economy but also improve ties between Uttar Pradesh and America.
He was speaking during a round table meeting with investors from America and officials from Uttar Pradesh. Health Minister Sidharthnath Singh was also present in that meeting.
“The new Industrial policy of the Uttar Pradesh government will promote industrialization in the state. The US companies are also willing to invest in this state which is bestowed with natural resources,” Jester said.
Health Minister Sidharthnath Singh said that US companies have a better option to invest in defence corridor, energy sector and other sectors including health, mobile, electronic, civil aviation and Information technology.
Industrial Development Commissioner (IDC) Anoop Chandra Pandey gave a presentation showcasing potential to invest in UP. He said Uttar Pradesh is agro-based region and there is potential to invest in agro-based industries.
Representative from Uber Nitish Bhushan showed inclination to increase his companies services in UP. Immersive Touches Inc representative Pat Banerjee has shown its willingness to invest in trauma centres while Amazon showed its inclination to open Customer Service Centre in Noida
