Samajwadi Party supremo made a frontal attack on Congress alleging that the international borders under the regime of Manmohan Singh’s government are not safe. He said that the people were fed-up with unemployment, rising prices, corruption in Congress’s regime.
UPA Government had failed on all fronts and the people are fed-up with rising prices, corruption and unemployment", alleged Mulayam. With an eye on the minority vote-bank, Mulayam further charged that UPA government is not even implementing Sachchar Committee report which clearly stated that Muslims were the most poor section of the society. Congress just make promises but so far they gave no benefits to Muslims like reservation or any special package for their upliftment", SP chief alleged. He made the above claims while addressing a gathering at lohia Park in Gomatinagar remembering Dr Ram Manohar lohia on occasion of 47th death anniversary. SP celebrated the day as Rs lohia Nirwan Diwas’ in memory of great socialist leader. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, besides his other cabinet colleagues including Shivpal Yadav, Ahmed Hassan, and other senior leaders of SP were also present.
Appealing the workers to gear-up and let no stones unturned to ensure victory of the Party in next Parliament elections, Mulayam Singh Yadav said that it was only Samajwadi Party led third front government in the Centre which could give any respite to the public from misrule of the Congress led UPA government. Mulayam said that soon after independence Dr lohia alerted than prime minister Pandit Jawahar lal Nehru over China’s bad intention on Tibbet-Nepal, and other Himalyan region touching India-China border. He claimed that Nehru took no notice of Dr lohia’s advice and even now he himself alerted the present government on the Rs issue’ several times in the Parliament but UPA government had done nothing.
Even when our army is very strong but due to bad governance in the Centre, many nations took us as weak country", Mulayam alleged. Mulayam further claimed that SP had always fought for the weaker and down-trodden section of the society to give them their rights but Congress always functioned as a dictator without having any well-being of the poor in their mind. He also hailed the work taken up Akhilesh Yadav’s government and claimed that it was only SP which thought and work for the welfare of the people.
Asserting that his government was running on the path shown by socialist leader Dr Ram Manohar lohia, chief minister Akhilesh Yadav said that lohia had taught us to work within limited re-sources so his Government is trying to use the available infrastructure to give best possible services to the public in the state. He claimed that until the society will work as a unit the country could not progress so they should leave all differences and work collectively for progress and development of the nation. Chief Minister further claimed that in wake of general elections of Parliament scheduled for next year, many parties are trying to fuel communal tension in the State just to polarise the voters and make political gains but the people should remain cautious of such evil designs. Akhilesh also supported his father’s stand on minority and claimed that his government is trying to implement Sachchar Committee and they already forwarded many benefits to the Muslims as promised in their manifesto for last Assembly elections.
