Imandaar soch, damdaar kaam to bring BJP back to power: Yogi

Launching Bharatiya Janata Party’s poll campaign and new slogan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said the BJP would return to power because of its “imandaar soch” and “damdaar kaam” as the people had made up their mind to bring the BJP back to power.

The campaign slogan which reads ‘Soch imaandaar, kaam dumdaar, UP phir mange bhajpa sarkar’ was launched on Friday

After the launch of campaign material, including the slogan, Yogi Adityanath said that the government had fulfilled the promise it had made to the people. “The BJP government does not believe in appeasement of anyone as the priority of our government was to restore the rule of the law in the state,” he said.

Yogi Adityanath said that rioters were once a threat to the peace and harmony of the state and were given patronage by the previous government, but today posters of the same rioters were put up on the main crossings.

"Our government did the work of strengthening law and order so that everyone lives happily in the state," he added.

The chief minister said that history-sheeters should not run police stations, mafia should not run the government, rioters should not riot, transparency should be maintained in government recruitment, no one should play with the dignity of sisters and daughters, hence BJP was the need of the state today.

He said, "We did what we said and this is possible when the thinking is honest and the work is strong. Earlier in the state, due to the mafia, our sisters and daughters could not get out of their houses but now the land of the mafia has been confiscated by our government. Our government has built houses for the poor by running bulldozers on the illegal properties of such mafia."

Yogi Adityanath said that the sugar mills used to be closed under the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party governments.  "For many years, the sugarcane payment was not cleared and when BJP came to power, record payment was made to the farmers,” he said.

He said that earlier in the government the chief minister used to build his own house, but the BJP government had given one house each to the poor.

"Our government has worked keeping in mind the motto Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas -- development of all and appeasement of none. For this the BJP government must come again,” he added.

BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh said that today no one could make allegations of corruption in any appointments in the state, adding that there used to be loot for recruitment earlier.

"Today sisters and daughters in the state can leave the house even at 12 o'clock in the night. They can go anywhere, no one is going to stop them. The Yogi Adityanath government has given this fear-free environment to the state," he claimed.

He said that hooliganism and corruption were widespread in the state during the previous regime but Yogi Adityanath's government had completely eliminated the mafia raj from the state.
