Home Minister not serious on internal security: Joshi

Former president of the Bharatiya Janta Party Murli Manohar Joshi accused Union Home Minister Susheel Kumar Shinde for not being serious on issues related to internal security of the country.

``The concern of Union Home Minister Shinde for internal security came to the fore on Sunday when instead of going to Patna to supervise the probe into terror attack just before Narendra Modi’s rally, Congress leader preferred to attend a function of Bollywood in Mumbai", alleged Joshi while accusing that the United Progressive Alliance government failed on all front. He also showed his concern over firing on loC by Pakistani forces and said that Government should take concrete measures to stop it.

He also demanded that just like 7th pay commission for government employees, similar commission should come up for defense personnel  besides army should be equipped with more modern armoury so that they take up any challenges. Showing concern over rising prices BJP leader demanded immediate ban on Commodity Trading in the Share Market. ``Besides poor governance which led to rising prices, I feel that the Commodity training is the biggest reason which put away even food grains from reach of common man so it should be immediately banned by the Government", demanded Murli Manohar Joshi. He questioned that leaders of United Progressive Alliance government claimed of having a very good yield of food grains so they must tell the public that why are the prices of commodities are still rising.

Former BJP chief claimed that what is more hurting is that UPA ministers had least bothered with the rising prices and make absurd statements. ``One minister said that the prices of sugar is set to increase in the coming months, the other said that people had to purchase the onion at same price for some more months", pointed Joshi while adding that such statements just boosted the morale of black marketers and hoarders to go ahead and extort more money by blocking availability of the eatables. He said that the government also not took the financial matters seriously and they even failed to check fall of current fiscal deficit despite of repeated claims of the government to keep it under check.

Murli Manohar Joshi further said that besides rampant corruption, UPA government is also involved in large scale of misuse of natural resources particularly minerals etc. He claimed that many industrialists were facilitated by the government by giving them right to freely use natural minerals just as UPA leaders were having good profit out of it. He alleged that the name of even prime minister came for such misuse of power in allotting coal blocks.Taking on Samajwadi Party over giving Rs 5 lakh financial assistance  to 1800 Muslimsso that they could shift from relief camps and rehabilitate themselves anywhere they want, Murli Manohar Joshi said  that it was just appeasement and facilitate differences between two members of the society.

``We are not against the government assistance but it should not be given on caste or religion line but who so ever is entitled for it or need it should be forwarded help", Joshi said that while attacking SP government that just as they acted to please one particular community, the state was pushed into one of the worst even communal riots in the history of State. He alleged that even now SP government is adopting similar line which could fuel tension any time.
