Home Department of the State government had now become active on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Through an official communiqué released here on Wednesday evening, Principal Secretary (Home) Debashish Panda claimed that on the directives of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, the Home Department became action on social media sites. He said that Facebook account has been named as “Home Department UP”, the Twitter handle is “HomeDepttUP” and both the accounts have been linked.
Panda said that through social media sites information information regarding improvement in crime, efforts to improve law and order, welfare works being done by police, achievements, schemes and policies would be provided.
