Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday announced the Rs1857 Heritage Trail’s will begin soon from Meerut, lucknow and Etawah districts which are associated with the first freedom struggle. It is to recalled UP was the province from where the great struggle was initiated later became the battle. The aim of the trail is to make the people and tourists aware of its importance and significance of such great event which mark the beginining of the freedom movement, he added. He was speaking at a function held here to pay tributes to those who laid their lives in the first battle of independence. Chief minister said that the Samajwadi Party is committed to pay respect and highlight their sacrifices so that commoner can understand their determination to free the country, he added.
