With the family feud in the Samajwadi Party first family refused to die, delegation of a Congress led by Party MlC Deepak Singh, met Governor Ram Naik here on Friday. They handed over a memorandum requesting Naik to use his constitution power and ensure smooth running of essential services particularly the Health Department whose negligence led to over 200 deaths so far in dengue alone.
"Three to four persons including children were becoming prey to Dengue everyday in the State capital alone and it was irony that chief minister Akhilesh Yadav had no concern over loss of lives of common man and is busy sorting out his own family problem”, alleged Deepak Singh soon after handing over a memorandum in this regard to Ram Naik at Governor House on Friday morning.
Singh further said that besides not showing concern towards people’s life, Samajwadi Party government had also not done anything to ensure distribution of books in the Government schools, compensation to the farmers against the crops were are damaged to incessant rains and hail storm last year, payment of arrears for the cane growers etc. He said that several staff unions, trade organizations, BTC training students, gram panchayat pradhans, lekhpal etc were on roads to seek justice but the government is doing nothing as chief minister and his family members were just fighting and more interested to have top say in the Party then solving the problems of the people. The delegation also included senior Congress leaders including Amarnath Agarwal, Sanjay Vajpayee, Sampurnanand, Rajesh Srivastava etc.
