lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court is expected to hear a public interest litigation (PIl) demanding an inquiry into the allegations made against Robert Vadra, the son-in- law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi regarding corruption in DlF deals.

A division bench of the court comprising Justices Imtiyaz Murtaza and Vinay Kumar Mathur are likely to hear the PIl on merit lodged by social activist Nutun Thakur.  The PIl says that the petitioner had sent a representation to the PMO on October 9, 2012 seeking an inquiry into the matter and when nothing happened, she filed a writ petition in the

High Court which was disposed of on March 3, 2013.  The PMO in its reply to Nutan Thakur's said her representation was sent to the law Ministry.   later, she sent a fresh representation on March 22, 2013 to the law Ministry asking for an appropriate action. Even after this, the PMO or law Ministry did not take any action and refused to provide information under RTI. Now Nutan Thakur has prayed before the High Court to order an in-depth probe into the allegations made against Vadra.
