“When Dr APJ Abdul Kalam was the President, I was the Chief Minister of Nagaland. On a visit to Nagaland, Dr Kalam wanted to go to the most backward village in the State. I selected one remote village and he went there and spent whole day interacting with students and teachers,” recounted Governor SC Jamir in a condolence meeting at the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday.
Dr Jamir also spoke about his long association with the former President and said Dr Kalam’s only aim was to see India prosper and the youth march ahead.
