Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal said that once the BJP workers were able to take the achievements of the Modi government to the masses, no one could stop the party from coming to power in Uttar Pradesh.
“The Modi government has done so much work in all sectors, particularly in education, power and health that if the BJP workers could make people aware of these schemes, then the next government in UP would be ours,” Goyal said while addressing party workers in lucknow on Friday.
The Union Minister was on a day’s visit to the state capital where he met party workers and apprised them of the schemes the Union government had launched.
“The Akhilesh Yadav government is trying to take credit for improvement in power sector but people will not fall in this trap. Our government has prepared a scheme for distribution of lED bulbs. While the last government was selling these bulbs at Rs 310, the price has been scaled down by us to Rs 55 each. Besides, the Union government has also introduced the scheme of lED fans,” Goyal said.
Emphasizen that the Prime Minister has been working for development in all sectors – be it farming or education and once the people could be apprised of the schemes and they are asked to avail the benefits, the BJP will win half the battle.
“It is a crucial time for the state. The workers should now work unitedly to ensure that we have out government in this politically sensitive state,” said Goyal.
