The state government has decided to create around 30,000 new posts for Inspectors and Sis after carrying out restructuring in the police department. The state cabinet that met here has given its assent to this proposal.
A government official said that restructuring in police department would be carried following which there would be a cut in the posts of constables and head constables and posts of Inspectors and SI will go up.
“It is expected that 30,000 new posts will be created this way,” the official said.
