The state government has suspended a senior IAS officer S.K. Singh for not releasing Rs 200 crore for construction of an international swimming pool in Saifai.
Singh, who was Director sports, was to retire next month. He was punished for not clearing the file. Official said that he was sitting tight on the file for the last two months. Despite repeated reminders he did not release the funds inviting ire of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, he said.
