To regain lost confidence of people of Muzaffarnagar in law enforcing agencies, state government on Tuesday created three more posts of police circle officer and had deputed three Deputy SPs in riot-affected Muzaffarnagar.Disclosing the decision of the State government here on Tuesday morning, Senior Superintendent of Police of Muzaffarnagar H N Singh said that Sunil Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar and Subodh Kumar have been posted as circle officers in the district. They have been alloted New Mandi, Fugana and Bhopa circles, he added. Communal clashes took place last month in Muzaffarnagar and its adjoining areas in which 62 people were killed and over 40,000 people displaced Etawah.

Meanwhile a riot victim who was said to be pregnant succumbed in a relief camp at Shahpur at Muzzafarnagar  due to unavailability of adequate medical facilities. Shabana complained of labour pain on Monday afternoon but could not be taken to hospital as ambulance was not

made available even after repeated calls, disclosed some other victims who were staying in the same camp. They claimed that Shabana later breathed her last in the relief camp. Meanwhile, an NGO has also claimed that five children died of fever in another relief camp in the last few

days, but Chief Medical Officer S K Tyagi has confirmed only two deaths. Tyagi said medical teams have been sent to the affected camps. The NGO said during a check up by

its medical team, 197 people were found ill, including 70 in serious condition, in different relief camps.

Meanwhile in another reports from Muzaffanagar, body of an 11-year-old girl, who went missing on Monday, was found from the fields here with her hands and feet tied up with a rope at Khari

Sarai hamlet on Tuesday morning. According to reports, the girl was abducted on Monday evening when she had gone to collect grass from the fields. Circumstantial evidences suggested that she was sexually assaulted by some one known to her and later the accused murdered her

just is fear of his identity being revealed to the police by the victim. It also seems that the girl was killed somewhere else and later the accused tied a rope on her  hands and feet

and dumped her body to conceal the crime. A case has been registered against unidentified miscreants and the body was sent for post-mortem examination. Security has

been also tightened in the village after finding the tense situation. Agitated villagers, however, staged a protest to demand early arrest of the accused.
