Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, party president Mulayam Singh Yadav and UP assembly speaker Mata Prasad Pandey have expressed grief over the death of senior party leader Mohan Singh at AIIMS New Delhi on Sunday.
Mohan Singh ,who was suffering from cancer for the past couple of years was admitted to the AIIMS, New Delhi. He was 70.Meanwhile a condolence meeting was held at the state party office here.
Mohan Singh, a follower of Ram Manohar lohia, went to jail during the emergency and even sustain several torchure. He was lok Sabha member from Deoria in UP besides became the minister in the Mulayam Singh Yadav government in the 1990's.
The body of the leader would be brought at the state party office here tomorrow at 0900 hours and then would be taken to Deoria for the cremation.Meanwhile Governor B.l. Joshi and senior BJP leader Surya Pratap Shahi also condoled the death of Mohan Singh.
