``Superintendent of Mirzapur jail Avinash Gautam has been suspended and during suspension period he would remain attached with prison office, Allahabad”, Home Secretary, Kamal Saxena told reporters here on Wednesday evening. Giving details of the case, he said that during inspection of the jail on June 24 by officers of additional district magistrate and deputy SP rank, mobile phone, sim card, charger, ear phone, battery, equipments to cook food and other objectionable and prohibited items were recovered from the prison He said that taking serious note of anomalies, action was taken by the government on the reports dispatched in this regard by the local district magistrate.
