Government a total failure : Keshav Prasad Maurya

Terming Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav as a `failure’, state BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the Samajwadi Party government has failed to extend justice to the family where a woman and her daughter were raped in the highway near Bulandshahar.

“Till now, we knew that Akhilesh Yadav is a failure. But his statements have proved that he is insensitive and does not have a heart that bleeds for the victims,” Maurya said in a written statement issued in lucknow on Thursday.

Maurya was reacting to the CM’s statement where he had claimed that BJP leaders had tutored Bulandshahar victims and were using the situation to get political mileage.

The BJP leader said that the BJP was committed to extending all help to the family which faced such a trauma on that dreadful night. The government has failed to instil confidence among the family members as they are unsure whether the SP government will help to them or not.

“The BJP knows the character of this government and therefore has asked for a CBI probe,” he said.

Hitting out at the state government, Maurya said that in the last four years and a half, 4237 incidents of rape were reported. “The criminals are ruling the roost. The situation has reached a point that exodus of traders have started, girls have stopped going to schools and goons linked to the ruling party have encroached on government and private properties,” said the state BJP chief.

“Chief Minister is silent on Mathura’s Jawahar bagh case, death of innocent people in hooch tragedy and exodus of people from Kairana. Instead, he is more concerned about what the BJP leaders told the traumatised family members of Bulandshahr rape victims. This shows the insecurity of Akhilesh Yadav,” he pointed out.
