Goons fearless in  UP, says CPI

Published on:

The Communist Party of India (CPI) said that goons were fearless in Uttar Pradesh while the police were involved in crimes instead of preventing crime incidents. State secretary of CPI, Heera Lal Yadav said that an 11-year-old girl was abducted and was brutally killed after being raped in Unnao while a three year-old was raped in Badaun and a six year old girl was raped in Etah.

“In Badaun, the police inhumanly tortured a youth while a youth was beaten to death at Jalalpur Kotwali in Ambedkra Nagar. Women are being subjected to eve teasing all across the state and their families were being attacked by goons for resisting,” he alleged.

Yadav said that the UP Police have utterly failed in curbing crimes across the state. “But it is effectively bulldozing the houses of suspects illegally. Law and order has taken a back seat in UP. Like Yogi Raj 1.0, the state is again witnessing jungle raj in Yogi’s second stint,” the CPI leader said.
